Leah Marrone BA, LLB (Hons), Dip Lang (Indonesian) is a Barrister at Mitchell Chambers and is listed as a Recommended Barrister in Employment and Work Health and Safety by Doyle’s Guide 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Leah came to the Bar in 2021 and was admitted in the Supreme Court of SA in 2007.   She has practised in a wide range of areas, including employment, discrimination, work health and safety, criminal law, workers compensation, administrative and public law.  As a solicitor she worked in the Crown Solicitor’s Office, Legal Aid (Legal Services Commission), the Police Complaint’s Authority, and the Young Worker’s Legal Service.

Leah is a Board Director at TAFESA and the Law Foundation of SA.  Leah is a current member of the SA Bar Association’s Bullying, Discrimination, and Harassment subcommittee and of the Law Society’s Industrial Relations and Women Lawyers Committees.

Leah is a past President of Australian Women Lawyers Ltd. and of the Women Lawyers’ Association of SA Inc.  Leah is a former member of the Respect at Work Council, the Equal Opportunity Committee of the Law Council of Australia, University of Adelaide Alumni Council, and Premier’s Council for Women.

Leah has received the Law Society’s Mary Kitson (Gender Equity in Law) Award and has been named on the South Australian Women’s Honour Roll.  Leah was also awarded as an alumni Fellow of the University of Adelaide.
