Tony Possingham was a founding member of Mitchell Chambers since 8 November 1991. Prior to that he practised as a solicitor at Stratford & Co and Ward & Partners (now Hunt and Hunt) and engaged in in-house counsel work. He commenced practice as a barrister in 1986 at Market Street Chambers.

Tony has undertaken counsel work at all levels including appellate work in the Full Court of the Supreme Court of South Australia and trial work in the Supreme Court, District Court and Industrial Court. Tony practises mainly in the field of personal injuries as set out below.

Tony has given many papers and presentations for the Law Society and other professional development programs. He is a visiting advocacy workshop instructor in the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice courses.
