Jim Telfer went to the Bar in 1985 after practising in the Northern Territory and in the Australian Government Solicitors Office in Adelaide. Since 1985, he has practised as counsel including a period as in-house counsel in the Crown Solicitors Office dealing with workers compensation, personal injuries and other claims against Government; a period of Special Counsel with Spark Helmore, again, mainly acting as counsel. He has been at Mitchell Chambers since 2004. Jim has had experience in a variety of areas, including criminal law, personal injuries, administrative, industrial and employment. He now practises chiefly in the fields of workers compensation both State and Federal; Employment and Industrial.
